چکیده
Energy transitions are complex and involve interrelated changes in the socio-technical dimensions of society. One major barrier to renewable energy is lock-in from incumbent regime. This study evaluates Product–Service Systems (EPSS) as a market mechanism. EPSS offer electricity service performance instead products appliances for household consumers. Through consumers buying service, provider company enabled choose, manage control electrical best-matched delivery. Given heterogenous players future uncertainties, this aims identify necessary conditions achieve sustainable market. Simulation-Based Design framework implemented assess various hypothetical conditions’ impact on efficiency short term long term. The results reveal specific characteristics that have higher chance causing unexpected results. Ultimately, paper demonstrates advantage implementing design retail markets under competing mechanisms with economic agents.

Gas-Electricity Coordination in Competitive Markets under Renewable Energy Uncertainty
As climate concerns, low natural gas prices, and renewable technologies increase the electric power sector’s dependence on natural gas-fired power plants, operational and investment models for gas and electric power systems will need to incorporate the interdependencies between these two systems to accurately capture the impacts of one on the other. Currently, few hybrid gas-electricity models ...
متن کاملCompetition in Electricity Markets with Renewable Energy Sources∗
This paper studies the effects of the diversification of energy portfolios on the merit order effect in an oligopolistic energy market. The merit order effect describes the negative impact of renewable energy, typically supplied at the low marginal cost, to the electricity market. We show when thermal generators have a diverse energy portfolio, meaning that they also control some or all of the ...
متن کاملDynamic pricing of electricity in retail markets
This paper aims at defining a dynamic and flexible tariff structure for a distribution company that protects the retail consumers against the excessive fluctuations of the wholesales market prices. We propose a two-stage pricing scheme that sets in a first-stage a time-of-use tariff that is corrected later by a dynamic component once the real-time demand has been observed. A personalized tariff...

To increase the share of electricity from renewable energy sources (RES-E) different strategies are implemented in various countries. The core objective of this paper is to extract lessons learned from promotion schemes in Europe and to derive resulting recommendations for future. The major results are: (i) The success stories of RES-E in Europe in recent years has been triggered by FITs; A wel...
متن کاملShould Indians Pay more for Renewable Energy Based Electricity? - The Need for Evidence Based Consumer Tariffs for Electricity in India
India seeks to achieve 175 Giga-Watt (GW) of Renewable power by 2022. As of December 2017, out of 333 GW of total installed capacity of electricity, close to 62GW come from renewable sources. Meeting the set targets calls for augmentation of renewable energy based capacities as expeditiously as possible. However, the sick financial health of the distribution companies/utilities, who act a...
